Growing up in the Pacific Northwest was fun, and with that come the little Easter Eggs I've put in each book...

For example, Transglobal amnesia actually happened to my mother-in-law. I did live in Dressler Hall at Eastern Washington University; I used to work at Inland Imaging as a DEXA Tech; my cats are named Sunny and Mr. Ned. The countertops in my old apartment were burnt orange, and there was a smoker underneath me who smoked in her bathroom with the fan on (so gross). I used to workout at Gold's Gym. My best friend is Carla and her puppy was Sammy, and we did go to Ferris High School together... all these nostalgic details from my past are in most of my stories—a fun set of Easter eggs for readers. If you read something and wonder, " Did she do that?" JUST ASK ME! I'd love to share the stories behind my ideas!

 

And if you know me well, you might even spot moments that genuinely happened in my life, such as... I'm sitting in a hotel parking lot in DC, locked in a new BMW SUV rental. It’s midnight, and I'm YouTubing how to park the car and turn it off because no one showed me how on that spaceship... so embarrassing.
